Ira is a beautiful, medium-sized solid black female. A German import, she is a Niko von der Gansebrücke daughter and a Fiasko von Gebrüder Grimm granddaughter. Both of her grandsires V-rated in the Bundessiegerprufung. Her pedigree contains only the finest of working lines, including Lord, Harro, Dax, Urs, Ingo Rudingen, Gildo Körbelbach and Assie vom kleinen Pfahl.

Ira is a very easy dog to live with. A wonderful all-around dog with wonderful drives, exceptional nerves, great resiliency and a happy, out going and playful personality, she is calm and well mannered in the home, but always ready to work at a moment's notice. She has always been a willing, happy worker, showing excellent focus in obedience. In protection she has very balanced prey and defense drives. Her attitude clearly indicates that she means business, and her bites are full and firm with unbelievably calm grips. Always clear headed, she remains responsive and directable even when high in drive.

Even more impressive than her obedience and protection is her tracking. This dog is a tracking machine. She has a very deep nose, maintains a calm, consistent pace on the track, and her intensity and focus must be seen to be believed. She cannot be distracted on the track and never quits working, no matter how challenging the terrain or obstacles. She doesn't miss and finishes the track with the same intense concentration with which she started.

As a broodbitch, Ira has proven time and time again her ability to consistently pass on some of her most valuable characteristics; her flawless nerve, balanced drive and clear headedness, full and calm grip, biddability and tracking talent. Ira sons and daughters are active in working and sporting endeavors across the country and they are receiving rave reviews from their owners, helpers, trainers and everyone who has the pleasure to see them work. In addition to being exceptional working dogs, they are also outstanding family companions. Just what a German Shepherd Dog is supposed to be!

The winter of 2006 marked Ira's last litter, and she is now enjoying a well deserved retirement. While her retirement marks the "end of an era" for our kennel we have retained several of her offspring ourselves and in breeding co-ownerships, so her influence will be felt for years to come. We will always be grateful to Ira for providing us an outstanding, rock solid foundation for our breeding program as we look toward the future.
