Nova is out of our breeding of Eris and Ike vd Donauvorstadt, which produced some exceptional and versatile dogs with many titles in Schutzhund/IPO, AKC Obedience, Agility, Nosework, Tracking as well as a certified SAR K9 and a GSDCA Performance Award of Merit recipient.

Nova has strong and balanced prey and defense drives, insane food and hunt drive combined with great nerve, excellent focus, intensity and a natural willingness to work with her handler. She has a spunky, pushy, cocky attitude overall and is intense in her work but off the field she is very social, outgoing and friendly, and lives as a full time house dog and family companion.

Nova comes by her traits honestly, and reminds us much of her dam, MACH Eris SchH3, IPO3, AWD1, P1, FO, RA, MX, MXJ, MXB, MJB, OF, T2B, CGC, TT. A firecracker on the field, Eris showed everything one could want in terms of working ability; drive, focus, strong work ethic and desire to please, confidence, grips, and exceptional speed, agility and commitment in all her work. Concentrated and accurate tracking, focused and flashy obedience, and powerful protection all came together marvelously in this fantastic girl and it shows in her accomplishments on the field. She is multiple times SchH3/IPO3, competed in 4 regional events, and is also titled in AKC Agility, AKC Rally and SDA/UKC Obedience and Protection. All of Eris' titles were earned on strange fields and helpers, and her accomplishments are rounded off by her achievement of the AKC Canine Good Citizen award and ATTS Temperament Test certificate.

None of this would be possible without a foundation in exceptionally sound genetics. The quality and balance of Eris' working ability and temperament is not unique to her, but can be consistently seen in her siblings as well. Eris is out of our E Litter, a repeat of our D litter breeding between Jabina Fjolle and our own Ira v Argatos, two dogs who have consistently proven their ability to produce strong working dogs. All dogs from both the D and E litters are in working homes and they consistently impress everyone who meets them and has the opportunity to see them work. Most are titled in schutzhund, and some also work in other venues such as herding and Search and Rescue. Yet at the same time, they also possess that balance of temperament that is so important, and most are also family companions as well as working and sporting partners.

Nova's sire, BSP competitor Ike vd Donauvorstadt, is a powerhouse of a dog and we feel very fortunate to have been able to use him during his short stay in the US. We have been so impressed with Ike and his bloodlines in recent years that in addition to using him to sire our N litter we also have imported a young Ike son from the Czech Republic to add to our breeding program as we move toward the future. In drive, nerve, balance and overall temperament, the breeding that produced Nova was hands down one of the nicest litters we have had. This is no surprise though as Ike himself is an exceptionally strong and balanced working dog who has proven himself to be a great producer of the same, and who hails from a pedigree packed with dogs who like Ike were not only highly successful in their own right but who also were proven producers of excellent dogs both on the sport field and in a variety of working venues.
